Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini, Vice President and CEO, Tonino Lamborghini is launching a whole line of lifestyle product into the Indian market very soon and we got to discuss his future and current ventures and business plans with him

In the latest turn of events the Vice President and CEO of Tonino Lamborghini, Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini happened to be on one of his business visits to India and we indulged in a tête-à-tête with him and his future plans into the Indian market.
He began by recounting an excerpt from the history of the Lamborghini brand and the birth of Tonino Lamborghini S.P.A. “Tonino Lamborghini brand was formed by my father Tonino in 1985 following his passion for luxury accessories in particular men’s accessories such as watches, sunglasses, leather goods, combining his passion with the mechanical heritage in our DNA, the industrial design and those elements that are well connected to the automotive industry.” Continuing to talk about the design and array of accessories he said, “We have been making watches since the establishment of the company. For the last 15 years we have been doing it under licence, last year I decided to take over the business and have a direct involvement in our company. That’s when I decided to co-design the watches with an Italian designer.”
But the main point discussion remains his plans with entering the real estate market of India. We happened to have had caught whiff of a news doing rounds in our close circles that Tonino Lamborghini is planning to open a cafe in Pune. “Yes you’ve heard right. This important achievement for us will happen in Pune. So once again a connection with the city that we love and not only because of that but also because we have established a joint venture with the golf cart and the Firodia family. Coming back to, what people can expect from our cafe-restaurant? First of all the Italian feeling because our claim when it comes to these projects we always say that we cannot give you Italy but we’d like to give you the feeling of the taste. We want to deliver the Italian kitchen, the Italian culture but at the same time we will be taking care of the local tastes as well and find the right balance to engage the people, the customer and let them feel at an Italian home and we hopefully will delight them with our products, our coffee, our energy drink our vodka and our wines.”
Wines, vodka, espresso, Lamborghini sure is offering everything that the Indian millennial is looking for! “We started with the espresso which is the Italian expression. Since it was performing very well in the market we decided to add the energy drink and vodka to our line of beverages. The thought behind this was that with coffee and energy drink we were addressing the day time. With the vodka we took over the nightlife as well. So we’re the only brand that can provide both an energy drink and vodka,” added Mr. Lamborghini.
IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ME TO CREATE A NEW CHAPTER THAT IS ALIGNED WITH WHAT HAS BEEN DONE BY MY FATHER TONINO THROUGH MORE THAN 38 YEARS OF HARD WORK
At a young age of 29, he sure seems to have a lot on his plate and handling it very well, but how? “As Vice president and CEO of Tonino Lamborghini S.P.A. it is important for me to create a new chapter that is aligned with what has been done by my father Tonino through more than 38 years of hard work. Adding, of course a younger and better taste and adopting new strategies in order to let the brand feel closer to my generation and so to attract wider target consumer,” added Mr. Lamborghini before giving us a quick insight on his residential commercial projects in the real estate market which would soon be introduced in the public domain.
