Ferrari's newest addition to the bespoke lineup comes with a unique name! But, would we get to see it on Indian roads sooner or later?

The Italian Horses from Stuttgart seem to be let loose as Ferrari happily unveils the limited-edition performance versions of the 812 Superfast and the 812 GTS. Christened to be the Ferrari 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A, both the cars are to run under a limited edition production life of 999 units and 599 units respectively. You can suspect the base prices to be north of half a million Euros and additional options will get you higher with the buck but wait, the bad news is both the consignments of the limited edition cars are already sold out!
Let's see then, what's the reason behind the Tifosi's going gaga over the Competizione lineup.
As the name suggests, the Competizione lineup gets an aggressive carbon blade that runs across its bonnet, flanked by a bold bumper and splitter at the front. The front fascia carries the aforementioned shared elements, and apart from that, both the vehicles get distinguishing treatment towards the rear.
The Competizione coupe gets an aluminum structure in place of the rear window, which acts as a vortex generator, allowing the Competizione to distort the airflow to maximize the pressure on the rear wheels. Thus the addition of a vortex generator in return accounts for creating additional grip and allowing the car to accelerate quicker. With the rear window out of place, it gets to flaunt its unique fastback-style look, with a distinctive silhouette.
The Competizione A dresses in Ferrari's iconic flying buttresses. It also gets a bridge portion fused between the buttresses, allowing it to deliver identical aerodynamics to its coupe variant that is further complemented by an inbuilt spoiler, generating immense grip which again allows it to maneuver faster. Both the 812s come fitted with conventional spoilers that come tweaked to be more aggressive than the cars they're based on.
The 812 Competizione and 812 Competizione A get a stupendous 6.5-liter V12 engine, pushing out a maddening 830hp of power which is massively 30hp more than the standard cars, making them the most aggressive series of road-going V12 mills Ferrari has ever made! With its new titanium connecting rods added to the Ferrari recipe, the naturally aspirated V12 goes redlining all the way up to 9,500rpm. Inside the engine, you even get a reworked lighter camshaft, with a new intake that is adaptive, and in return maximizes the output potential of the combustion chamber.
Both the cars get a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox which comes mated with all new engine calibrations that allow five percent faster shifts to allow one to keep the throttle pinned down hard….at all times. Also on offer with both the cars is a high-performance exhaust setup which makes the Competizione series sound more hypnotizing than any other Ferrari on offer. And additionally, they are even topped up with side-slip control and rear-wheel steering, allowing the driver to have comprehensive control at any given time!
The 599 GTO and the F12 Tour De France never made it to India, but with the ever-populating numbers of Ferrari enthusiasts in our country, we can expect at least a few units of the Competizione series to make it to the Indian shores. In India, the price tag can be assumed to be upwards of Rs 10 Crores or more. Deliveries commence next year, though you better keep an eye out on the socials for seeing one of these making it to any of the influencer's garages sooner or later!
