EVERY YEAR IPHONE LOVERS EAGERLY WAIT FOR THE NEW SOFTWARE UPDATES THAT APPLE BRINGS TO THE TABLE. YESTERDAY, AT THE WORLDWIDE DEVELOPER CONFERENCE (WWDC) IN CALIFORNIA APPLE INTRODUCED ITS NEW SOFTWARE UPDATE, IOS 12.
The software will be available to the users later this year. Some of the new features, improvements in performance and a variety of updates were shown in the new iOS 12. Here are the some of the highlights of the new iOS 12 software:
PRIVACY
Privacy has always been iPhone’s main focus. With the new update, iOS protects your privacy one step further. Safari will now prevent share buttons and comment widgets on web pages from tracking your movements without your permission. It will also prevent advertisers from collecting your information or unique characteristics.
PERFORMANCE
This update brings in a 2X faster performance which will be compatible with iPhones starting from 5S to iPad Mini2, iPad Air and many more. The camera launcher will be 70 percent faster with a 50 percent faster keyboard display.
FACETIME
Now you can facetime 32 people at once! Not only does it become messy but also confusing when you facetime with such a large group. Hence, the tile of the person speaking will become larger automatically. This feature will also be seen in the message threads, where you can join an already active conversation.
DO NOT DISTURB
A new Do Not Disturb feature is added to manage your notifications. Set Do Not Disturb just for a meeting or while you’re at a location, and it will automatically turn off as soon as your event ends or you leave that place.
NOTIFICATION
Group together message threads or all notifications from a single app to keep it organized. A new screen time feature is also added which lets you know the amount of time you’ve spent on your mobile.
SIRI
Newly advanced Siri will be seen in the new updated software. Siri shortcuts deliver a new, much faster way to get things done. Siri can now suggest an action at just the right time — whether it’s to order a coffee or head to the gym. Customize the shortcuts according to your needs.
ANIMOJI
More expressive animoji’s have been added to the collection. Now go ahead, wink or pull your tongue out, and express yourself.
AUGMENTED REALITY
One of the best updates that will be seen in iOS 12 is the AR. In collaboration with Pixar, Apple has created a new file type called ‘USDZ’. You can experience this new AR anywhere in iOS including apps like messages, safari, mail, files, and news, delivering powerful graphics and animation features.
Overall, the new software will bring in a brand new iPhone, and we cannot wait to download it.
